What’s New in the Alpha Playtest (v0.4)

Dungeon System 2.0

New dungeon generation systems allow for larger maps, greater details, and organic shapes alongside an expanded roster of in-dungeon actions and features. This updated system allows for greater gameplay variety and increased narrative storytelling options through action and cutscenes.

The FICT ONE - Occultical Universe

The first IP built by Confiction Labs, also known as the Occultical universe. Everything about Occultical, including games set in this world such as RIFTSTORM, is under FICT ONE.

The Occultical Universe exists on the axis of secrecy and mysticism. It is a world where the mythic truth hides underneath the veneer of history and fact - in this world, our world, monsters, myths, and legends exist and the only force that stands humanity and the threats of the cosmos fall under the purvey of the Mythic Protocol. This global alliance formed by secret societies to study and combat paranormal Rifts and the Mythics they unleash. Utilizing advanced technology and occult knowledge, the organization detects Rift events and dispatches operatives called Conductors to handle them.

Established in 1954 to prevent conflict between rival occult factions, the Protocol mandates information sharing and coordinated responses to otherworldly threats. They tirelessly research Mythics, secret them away from the public, and meticulously document the knowledge they gather, creating a vital database for those combating the forces behind the Rifts.
